Hartwith Heritage Walk

A fascinating 7.5-mile walk through an historic landscape whose secrets have been uncovered as the result of painstaking research by local people. As you walk around the route you will be able to identify clues from the long history of human activity in the area including ancient woodlands, pack horse routes and medieval carvings. The map on the leaflet should be used in conjunction with OS Map 1:25000 Explorer 298. The walk does not have start and finish points but, if you are arriving by bus, Low Laithe is the ideal place to start. For bus information go to our 'Getting Here' pages. You'll find car parks at Brimham Rocks and a smaller one at Brimham Lodge.
