Nidderdale Museum

If you want to find out more about the history of Nidderdale, a visit to the Nidderdale Museum is a must. 

Housed in the former workhouse opposite St Cuthbert's Parish Church, the Museum displays a large and lively collection illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. It has 11 exhibition rooms which reflect the life of ordinary people in imaginative and realistic settings and include an original cobbler's shop, school room, Victorian parlour, general store and family history room.

There are sections devoted to agriculture, transport, costume, religion and industry.
 
Facilities include: easy parking directly outside including disabled parking, stair lift, toilets, and a small gift shop.
 
There is also a school education room why not book in your school party so they can learn about our history first hand?
 
The museum is open at selected times throughout the year:
Easter 31st October, daily 1.30pm 4.30pm
August and bank holidays, daily 10.30am 4.30pm
1st November Easter, Saturday and Sunday 1.30pm 4.30pm
