Public Transport

We have become more and more reliant on quick methods of travel to save time in our hectic lives, but when you're on your holidays why not take it a bit easier and bus it, bike it or walk it!

Not only will you be helping to reduce pollution and congestion, but by walking or cycling for half an hour a day, you can cut your risk of heart disease by 50%. You could try our suggested walking routes or join in with our summer events programme.

Or why not try to travel around the AONB using public transport. A leaflet called Getting Around The Yorkshire Dales - Green Travel Guide (PDF 1457KB) outlines public transport in the Dales and shows you how to find out more about the many services available.
