Donate to the Dales
|
The Dales, including the AONB, is a living, breathing, working landscape. But its fragile habitats and wildlife can only survive with careful management! If you care about conserving the Dales' natural beauty as much as we do, help us by participating in the Donate to the Dales programme, run by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. Accommodation providers and attractions displaying the logo will gladly accept your donation and pass it on to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust who will put these monies towards vital conservation work. A list of participating businesses can be found at www.ydmt.org/dttd.html |

Projects include:
- Repairing footpaths, stiles and river crossings
- Planting native broadleaved trees and restoring ancient woodlands
- Creating wildlife habitats and protecting rare plant species
- Repairing dry stone walls and field barns - a characteristic feature of the Dales
If every visitor contributes just £1.00 this will amount
to a wonderful fund for conservation projects and make a real
difference to ensure that the Dales remains a special place for
everyone to enjoy.
Alternatively, you can send a larger donation direct to the
Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust at Old Post Office, Main Street,
Clapham, LA2 8DP. The Trust needs to raise over £300,000 each
year in order to continue its vital conservation work. Donations
from individuals like you are used to match other grant monies
enabling an incredible £3/4million worth of conservation work
to be undertaken each year.
