Mashamshire

Mashamshire lies to the north east of the AONB where the underlying limestone contribute to a pastoral, settled atmosphere in contrast to the bleaker moors to the west. The landscape is gentle and rolling, with ancient woodlands and hedgerows in place of dry stone walls.

Take time to explore the area's rich history - ancient abbeys, historic parks and gardens and grand country estates are fascinating to explore. Or find our more about Masham's brewing heritage by calling in at the two Breweries -Black Sheep and Theakstons.
